The collaborative project A Taste for the Secret started in October 2001. Due to unexpected difficulties in the process of composing and instrumentation the development of the material paused until July 2007. Seemingly irreconcilable contentious issues averted the further development of this interesting conceptual sound journey (Hoerspiel).
In July 2007 I reviewed/revisited the "A Taste for the Secret" folder together with George Henry Koehler and surprisingly our ears had changed without question. The interaction of the pieces, the instrumentation, and the musical significance at large emerged just perfect and fresh. On the spot we decided to share this unexpected treasure with all of You.
"A Taste for the Secret" is inspired by a series of dialogues between Jacques Derrida and Maurizio Ferraris.
"I love the piece. My favourite 'spaces' are the pianist with whistling and the wonderful march with irate crowd accompaniment. Other text spaces I become the 'third' presence. My part imaginary. BRAVO!" — James M. Drew
